I was expecting this, but just pointing it out. you'll have to connect wires and solder them. The XSVI-5521-NAV wiring harness to stereo adapter is not "plug and play". It's not a big deal, but will add some time to the installation. I contacted Metra and they said they don't make anything for the non-standard double-din stereos so I need to modify their kit. the install kit from Metra is or a standard double-din (about 97mm x 174mm) and these android stereos are not standard (100mm x 178mm). I really gather that the guy is just trying to jack up the installation costs. I'm not a big fan of splicing into factory wiring harness to install an aftermarket stereo on a truck that has barely 1000 miles on it. In addition, the guy at my local car toys told me that the accessory power in the wiring harness is only 5v for the stereo, and that because of that they have to splice into my wires to get a true 12v accessory power for my stereo to power on. I've searched both 20 but haven't found anything. I am having a very hard time finding a wiring harness or a dash install kit. I'm looking to install an aftermarket navigation stereo (double-din) with a backup camera. I have a 2014 F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab 8' bed XL trim package with the standard am/fm/cd without sub woofer stereo.
